The project: One of the very first social and legal “make your own mixtape” web applications.
My role: Lead UX Designer, Product Manager (visual design by Stefanie Kraus)
BoomShuffle was one of the first legal make-your-own-mixtape web applications. It was fun, snappy, visual, and solved a real problem for users (how to share songs in a free and legal way on MySpace and Facebook). I created the basic concept and interaction design (helping to figure out how to create and play back user-generated mixes while following the legal requirements of “internet radio”), managed the feature backlog and bug list, and even named the site.
