Computer Audio Compnent of the Year, Stereophile Magazine, 2010 (Squeezebox Touch)
Budget Component of the Year, Stereophile Magazine, 2010 (Squeezebox Radio)
Projects: Redesign of setup flow of the entire Squeezebox product line; redesign of customer-facing website; UX design of onscreen interface for Squeezebox Touch, Squeezebox Radio, Squeezebox Duet
My role: Lead UX Designer
Logitech Squeezebox was a line of wi-fi-powered music devices that allow you to play internet radio, Pandora, Rhapsody, Spotify, SIRIUS, iTunes, and much much more anywhere in your home.
I was the UX lead during the creation of the Squeezebox Touch and Squeezebox Radio. I redesigned the setup flow for the entire product line (setup now takes an average of 10-15 minutes instead of an hour), completely redesigned the user website (mysqueezebox.com, formerly squeezenetwork.com), helped introduce the “Squeezebox Apps” concept, and did some experimental UI work that unfortunately never saw release.
